Pre & Post Wedding rituals in Jain marriage

India is a land of dreams and romance. I love to explore a warm and new area, community, their culture and their wedding. In India, almost every community can enjoy something unique.

During one of the journeys, I had a chance to attend the wedding ceremony of a zine. What I learned about Jain marriage is that marriage is considered to be a global matter considered to be human relations.

I've listed some pre-weddings, wedding and post-wedding shows for you, so that you can enhance your knowledge of Jain wedding events.

The start date for the wedding ceremony of the jain community begins. Some of the pre-wedding ceremonies of this community include:

Pre Wedding Rituals for Jain Community

  • Khol Barana and Tikka

Once the marriage is done, the bride and the bride family meet each other. The groom's family carries a silver plated coconut and some cash at the beginning of a new look. This mausoleum is called Baraana.

The family of the bride also carries some gifts and cash marked as tikka starting this gift.

  • Laghana Lekhan

It is a small worship in the bride's place for wedding ceremony or Laghana date and time decision. This event is known as Lahhan Lakhan.

  • Lagna Patrika Vachan

A formal letter is a date conveying wedding date. This letter was sent from the bride's place to the bridegroom. The groom performs the worship of Mannant and the letter is opened from the Prophet's side. Pandit reads the date of marriage aloud and congratulate everyone at the room.

 Sagai

Like almost every Hindu community, there is a ceremonial ceremony of the Jain community where the bride and groom exchanged the wedding ring to mark the symbol of their marriage.

Mehendi

Two or two days before the wedding day, the bride's hand and legs are full of henna paste and decorated with complex designs.

Wedding Day Rituals in Jain Community

After all these events, the wedding ceremony begins. I was already mesmerized with many occasions and was constantly looking forward to the wedding day. And it starts with a dizziness. At this event, a horse wakes up with all the dances mentioned above. I was told that after getting this blessing and the blessings of Almighty from the nearest temple, bride will be in place.

We observe the knife in many Hindu communities.

The next thing happened, which happened when the bride and groom decided to get married. The groom is officially singing the bride and other married female relatives who perform Ariti and traditional wedding songs known as Mangal Git.

Daughter: The bride is welcomed in madrasa. Parents of the bride kept a rupee and forty five rupees with some rice in the right palm of the Prophet. The groom is given a blessing and the bride's father is announced to marry his daughter to groom.

After this, some married ladies of the family tied up and tied for couple to prepare. They take place in a balanced time prescribed by the priest in advance. Then the couple took seven shops of cycles around the sacred fire.

After pheras, competition, the couple longed for the blessing from the elders and the bride then departed from her parents' home. This event is called Bidaai.(farewell)

Post Wedding Rituals for Jain
